autumn leaves rustle
the tension out of me
on pleasant breezy days
sunlit gentle tree, i am
a ragdoll under your sway
leaves
Endings & beginnings
The last faded autumn leaflet hangs from a frozen branch, just a short fall from the tree to winter.
In loss still they dance!
the leaves all dance
to the same breeze —
but some flutter and some fall
some shiver and some sway —
and when a gust comes
they lose themselves —
but are no less beautiful
on the ground, where resting
they still yet dance, but free
It’s a dry heat streak
full moon monsoon clouds
glow pale light through windy trees
parched leaves shadow dance
Stragglers
bird alights on branch
mottled-lit golden leaves fall
drifting like feathers
Deciduous
just like trees
my life is a mix—
seasonal change
and evergreen
Feuille morte
dried crackling leaves
though dead
are never quite still
Winter falling
cold gray rainy day
watching winter’s last leaves fall
from my cozy bed
Ecos
leaves — lovers
of the gentle breeze
trees — brothers
of roots that weave
soil — giver
of life through earth
sun — mother
of golden light’s birth
Leaving behind
In winter, forgive the fallen leaves of your past.
